The First Date Tag + A sneaky tutorial

I recently watched Patricia Bright and Ameila Lianna do this tag on YT and of course, I was instantly sucked in their girly vortex. I found these questions really cute and thought I might give them a go. Since you don’t see my awkward reactions to some of these, I’m gonna try and be really literal. Okay? Okay…

1. How long does it take you to get ready for a date?

Firstly, If I was going on a date, I would have a fresh shower and shave and then there is the hair drying, makeup wearing and closet exploding. So a good two hours (if I was being quick) is my bet.

2. Whats your idea of a perfect first date?
a) Dinner
b) Drinks
c) Cinema
d) Adventurous dates

Definitely Dinner! Just because I am a foodie and I would like that to be our common ground. On another note, I would like to find out if he is the kind of man who would be okay with me paying for my dinner. It is a great turn-on knowing that this kind of independence is welcomed and not frowned upon.

3. What would you gravitate more towards to wear on a date …
a) Jeans
b) Trousers
c) Skirt
d) Dress

I am a girly girl in everything, but this. I’m still not okay with dressing my shape in a dress (short or long). So I’d go with jeans and a cute top and layer it with some punky accessories (or leather jacket, if this weather ever cools down!)

4. On the date of your choice what makeup would you wear
a) Girl next door
b) Smokey and sexy
c) Bold lip
d) Brights

I would keep things minimal. Like the previous question, I would not want to come across as someone who is trying too hard or pretending to be someone they aren’t. Keeping it simple ensures I enhance my natural features but suppress my  to overdo myself a little with my makeup. With that said, I am not opposed to a soft smokey eye…
5. Your date says you have half an hour to be ready what do you do?

PANIC! That ain’t happening mister…
6. Your date asks for the bill, do you …
a) Offer to pay – with actual meaning to pay
b) Make a fake fuss – with no intention of paying
c) Expect him to pay straight away

Definitely A. Refer point 2.

7. It’s time to say goodbye you really like your date do you …
a) Wave
b) Hug
c) Kiss on the cheek
d) Peck
e) Full on smooch

I’d go with a peck. Because, that’s just what I would do as a friend and I’d like to keep it casual on our first date.

BONUS: My ultimate date-night look

Here’s a quick tutorial on the look. Wear a medium coverage base, I chose my trusty Guerlain one. Dabbing on some Marc Jacobs Remedy Pen to banish them dark circles, I sealed the skin in place with my Dior powder. Keep the cheeks simple, I swirled a light dusting of my Marc Jacobs O!Mega bronzer in Tantric and the Benefit Rockateur blush. On the eyes, I used my Chanel Tisse Camelia Les Beiges Palette. This palette has a satin white, a pale shade of pink, a taupy-mauve and a deep chocolate brown. Applying the pink and mauve all over the lid and slightly blending the brown in the crease, I finished the eyes. Taking the satin white, I applied it on my inner tear duckt and browbone. For the lips, it was my all time fave Tom Ford lipstick in Casablanca.

DONE!
