BLOGMAS 16: Skincare saviours for Party Season

Let’s accept it, we all go overboard in the festive season. Brunches, Dinners and Hang-outs, almost always end up in one too many drinks and cheeky little treats. It’s acceptable, because after-all, it’s that time of the year where sparkling lights and decadent puds are taking over. What you really need are skincare saviours that hide one too many cocktails in the blink of an eye.

The Antipodes Vanilla Day Cream: Oh, I’ve found love again with this one. If you haven’t already read it, I had reviewed this before and my thoughts haven’t changed the slightest. So when you feel your skin needs a pick-me-up, just apply this under your makeup, it will glide on your base beautifully and keep your skin soft irrespective of the makeup you are wearing.

Frequency: Daily (Mornings)

Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins: There’s something about Orgin products, they have this gel like comfortable texture that is absorbed by the skin quickly leaving behind nourished skin. Overnight, it revives even the driest, exhausted of skin. So after a night out, I always slather a generous amount on my skin to provide an extra kick.

Frequency: Only on night outs or bas skin days

ROC Retinol Correction: This is serious stuff guys! I’ve been using Retinol from the last month and I’m loving how fresh my skin looks and the texture has gotten a lot smoother as well. I’m yet to use it for good 2-3 months, but I’ll keep you guys updated. So the texture of this is light and I use a pump on a freshly cleansed face and follow with a basic moisturiser. Any product with Hyaluronic Acid, AHA’s or Citrus can actually irritate alongside this serum, so I prefer to follow up with a simple moisturiser from Garnier that feels nice, but doesn’t do much.

Frequency: Night (Daily)
