10 Minute Malt Chocolate Fudge Recipe

The simplest things in life are quite possibly the most decadent.

This, 10-min one-bowl chug and go recipe is at the top of my list for a delicious treat. I admit, I did go overboard with a lot of ingredients, but the crunch of biscuits paired with  gooey marshmallows was a match made in heaven. Before we get into the ingredients, I must add that this recipe is merely a guide, you can switch up flavours that you prefer; change dark chocolate to white or make a christmassy version with orange zest and cranberries (It’s June and I’m already thinking Christmas!)

Ingredients:

  1. 340g Hershey’s Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  2. 2 Heaping Tbsp. Malt Powder (I used Horlicks)
  3. Sweetened Condensed Milk (To taste, I used 3/4 of the way through)
  4. 10-14 Chunky Crushed Digestive Biscuits
  5. 1 Tbsp. Butter
  6. 1 Tsp. Sea Salt
  7. 10-15 Crushed Maltesers
  8. Mini Marshmallows
  9. Crushed Walnuts
  10. Crushed Hazelnuts

I started by heating my Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips with condensed milk and butter. I added some milk to loosen the mixture until it was a thick pourable consistency. Let it cool for 5 minutes. Chug all the remaining ingredients in the pan and give it a good mix.

Pour in a square pan lined with foil or plastic wrap. Let it cool for 4-5 hours.

Pantry Cafe Review

Pantry Cafe is an experience to cherish. I’m a big fan of the show F.R.I.E.N.D.S and exploring dainty, personalised and rustic cafes to enjoy with my near and dear ones never goes off my bucket list.

This was just that. With unique jars of foodie bits adorning the place, to the lovely staff who was very elaborate and suggestive of the best bites, me and my friend thoroughly enjoyed the evening.

Here’s what we ordered:

Ceasar Salad
Buffallo Mozzarella salad (New Menu Taster)
Chai Latte
Parmegianna
Stuffed Eggplants (New Menu Taster)
Thai Chicken Curry
Salted Caramel Apple and Date crumble
Banofee in a jar

Yummy salad with the freshest mozzarella.

Loved this Stuffed Eggplant on their taster menu

The highlight of the evening were the stuffed eggplant with quinoa and tomatoes and basil, topped with delicious mozzarella and parmesan. This is the more sophisticated version of Parmegianna already on the menu. Both these dishes have similar layers of flavour, however Parmegianna is more home made comfort with heaps of cheese (which I appreciate for special occasions! )

The salad was lovely, especially the Buffallo Mozzarella one as it was paired with a rare sweetened fruit and arugula(i’m sorry I don’t know the name of the fruit, neither was it in the menu). Just the softest mozzarella that could ever be.

The Thai Green Curry was one of the spiciest I’ve ever tried, which for the Indian in me works out beautifully. My beautiful friend shared all of this delicious food with me and hopefully had a great time.

The trio of desserts.
The trio of desserts.

Time for dessert: off the three decadent sweets we ordered – Tiramisu was the winner. The others were not very special or what we hoped for.

Special mention goes to Rola Daher (that beautiful friend I talked about) for amazing company and taking some of the photos you’ll will see.

All in all i’d rate Pantry Cafe 8/10. I think if a few of the new menu tasters were finally included in the menu,  this place will get hotter by the minute.

P.S. if you are a chai latte lover DO TRY FROM HERE ! The color is suspicious,  the taste,  not at all.

Do visit pantry cafe and share your experiences with me. I’d love to know if you try anything we did!
