Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette Review

First Impressions: Holy Cow, this is fantastic!

I’m so in love with this palette, it has become an absolute staple in my daily routine and I cannot live without ALL of them. The colors include (from right to left) Dim Light, Incandescent Light and Radiant Light. The powders are finely milled providing a realistic glow that is not over the top and registers natural on the skin.

The pros of the palette is that it can be used as an all-over glow powder to add a little something as a finishing touch or as a stunning highlighter on the tops of the cheeks (and anywhere you desire!). I’ve used it to set my concealer as well as add a sheen to my skin. The powders blend seamlessly and don’t cling to dry patches or bring them to notice. I’d say the first two shades are amazing at setting the skin and the last one is quite a sheer highlighter. All in all this is a luxe product absolutely worth buying!

Brighten me up

Yes, being a beauty blogger probably obliges me to never take naked – face selfies. But I was a born rebel, so here we go…

Ren’s Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask is some serious business! I recently purchased it from and regret nothing.

Here is the process – use this after you have cleansed your face (bonus points to you if you added the extra step of steaming your skin for 10 mins prior), apply two pumps of the product and smear (NEVER MASSAGE!) into your face. Leave it on for 10 mins (under, never over). Rinse off or use a flannel.

Additionally, if you have sensitive skin, do a skin test before applying this as it can be very active for some skin types.  There can be redness later, don’t panic, just apply a gentle skincare routine after. Lastly, for many clearer skin types, this product can replace the use of clairsonic consisitantly.

Dior Nude Skin Foundation Review

Wearing the Dior Nude Skin Foundation in the Day
Wearing the Dior Nude Skin Foundation in the Day

An expensive buy, however, Dior Nude Skin Foundation it is the perfect blend of a bb cream and a medium coverage foundation. I need to take a pea-sized amount for my face and blend towards my neck for a day-coverage. For a more flawless finish, use a concealer on problem areas with a setting powder. If you are going for an evening high-sheen look, keep the powder away from the high-points of your cheek so you would get a natural glow sans shimmer.

Also, the foundation is great for normal / combination and dry skin. Oily skin would find this too glowy for their skin.

The packaging is not travel friendly but makes a great dressing table piece.

  • Dewy and easy application (i.e. with fingers if you are going for a light coverage look)
  • Build able (with a kabuki or foundation brush)
  • Long – Lasting
  • Great for evenings
  • Gorgeous packaging for dressing table
  • Perfect for combination/normal/dry skin

  • Packaging too heavy for travel
  • Bad for oily skin
